Hours

• Part time - Monday to Thursday (flexibility required)

Overtime

Basic rate up to 48 hours and time and a third after 48 hours. Covering all classes of vehicles, including wagon and drag. Nights out when needed. Truck-mounted forklift training provided.

Job Purpose

The HGV driver will deliver and collect goods throughout the UK & Ireland in accordance with the restrictions of the group Operator's Licence. The key objectives are to ensure goods are delivered on time according to the delivery schedule set by the Transport department, whilst maintaining roadworthiness.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure compliance with the operator’s license.
• Adhere to drivers’ hours regulations.
• Follow WTD (Working Time Directive) rules.
• Keep Driver CPC qualifications up to date.
• Maintain current driving licence entitlements and report changes promptly.
• Always comply with highway laws.
• Follow HSE standards.
• Carry loads safely at all times.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Communicate effectively via relevant channels.
• Follow operational processes and procedures.
• Report and rectify process and product concerns.
• Safeguard company property.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workplace, following housekeeping procedures for safety.
• Wear appropriate uniform and PPE.
• Share knowledge and skills within the team.
• Perform reasonable duties as directed by senior management.
