Job summary

Willow Court, part of Hollybank Trust on the Mirfield campus, is seeking a reliable Driver/Caretaker to join the team. The role combines transport duties with general maintenance and caretaking to support residents’ safety and wellbeing.

The position is 35 hours per week with a pay rate of £12.74 per hour, and includes safeguarding checks and DBS. Experience in a care setting is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (appropriate category for required vehicles).
• Good driving record and confident driving ability.
• Basic practical skills in maintenance and DIY tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport service users, staff, and visitors.
• Plan journeys efficiently and drive in a timely manner.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep vehicles clean and roadworthy.
• Report vehicle defects or incidents promptly.
• Support passengers with boarding, seating and exiting vehicles.
• Adhere to road safety regulations and policies.
