Job summary

A local staffing agency in Bexhill-on-Sea is looking for a reliable Driver Caretaker to join a busy grounds maintenance team. This full-time role involves maintaining public sites, including libraries and wedding venues, with a schedule from Monday to Friday. Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and preferably hold PA1 & PA6 certificates. The position offers a pay rate of £14 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance preferred.
• Training can be provided for tool usage.
• Must be physically fit to work outdoors in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general grounds maintenance tasks.

We're looking for reliable, hard-working Driver Caretaker to join our busy grounds maintenance team. This is a full-time role working across a variety of council-managed and public sites.

Areas You'll Cover:

• Libraries
• Wedding Venues

Schedule:

• Full-time | Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• 2-week site rotation
• Overtime and weekend availability
• Holiday cover may be required

Key Responsibilities:

• General grounds maintenance (mowing, edging, weeding)
• Planting and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and trees
• Using hand and power tools for landscaping tasks
• Operating and maintaining equipment (lawn mowers, strimmer)
• Keeping outdoor areas clean and debris-free

Requirements:

• Experience in grounds maintenance preferred to work for Public Sector and Government
• Ability to use tools safely (training can be provided)
• Physically fit to work outdoors in all conditions
• Good time management and attention to detail
• Full UK Driving Licence - required
