Salary: Up to £12.32 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for providing sterile equipment and instrumentation for surgical and interventional procedures across hospitals in Southeast England and Scotland. The unit operates 24/7 with rotating shifts covering days and nights.

We have an opportunity for a Driver to join the Stockport Decontamination unit on a bank basis, working as and when required to support busy periods and cover staff absences.

Role duties include:

• Providing reliable and courteous delivery/pick-up services to CHG Hospital Decontamination customers, prioritizing safety.
• Acting as a communication link between customers and the unit workforce where appropriate.
• Operating and maintaining assigned vehicles, keeping records.
• Collecting ‘dirty’ trolleys from hospitals and clinics, delivering them to the decontamination facility, and returning ‘clean’ trolleys with reprocessed scopes.
• Supporting the delivery of decontamination services to Operating Theatres and other departments.
• Assisting with store management and departmental cleaning.
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and good working order.
• Completing all mandatory training requirements.

Candidate criteria:

• Experience driving vans with tail lifts.
• Comfortable driving in various conditions, including challenging road situations.
• Valid UK driving license with a clean record, with annual DVLA license checks.
• Holding a clean B license for vans up to 3.5t.
• Good general education.
• Ability to undertake lifting duties as needed.
