Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc in Gloucester is seeking a Delivery Driver (3.5 ton flatbed van) to deliver hire equipment around the local area. You will be the face of our business, representing our vision and values, and supporting rail-related assignments.

The role runs Mon-Fri, 07:30-17:00, 42 hours per week, with weekend duties on rail projects and PTS required; we offer 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance, and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driving licence and be comfortable driving a 3.5 ton van.
• Willing to assist rail engineers on weekends with track-related tasks.
• Able to plan ahead with at least 4 weeks notice for weekend work.
• Reliable and flexible to meet schedule demands.
• Must pass Personal Track Safety (PTS) verification.

Based in Gloucester, the role of Delivery Driver is a busy and productive role. You will be driving a 3.5 ton flatbed van delivering hire equipment around the local area. This role is vital to our operation; you will be the face of our business and a representation of our vision, mission and values.

Role - Driver 3.5ton

Location - Gloucester

Days of work - Mon - Fri, Times -07:30 - 17:00, 42 hours per week

Salary £29,572 Per annum, pro rata

Requirements

• Possess a driving license and be able to assist trained rail engineers during weekends to support various jobs on track, such as setting out our sight lighting and operating our clipping machines.
• Flexibility and availability on weekends and holidays (visibility at least 4 weeks in advance to allow planning).
• Reliability.
• Pass their PTS (Personal Track Safety).
• Attend product familiarisation training at their local Rail depot.
