Job summary

BAXI is seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team in the UK. You will deliver to RDCs with new trucks, no loading/unloading, and join a friendly environment with strong earning potential.

Role runs Monday to Friday with start times between 4:00am and 11:00am. 2–3 nights out per week are required; 41.25 hours weekly minimum with overtime available. 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and a company pension are among benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• No previous driving disqualifications.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Minimum 6 months’ commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Good understanding of EU Working Time and Driving Time regulations.
• Willingness to complete a driving assessment prior to offer.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily driver defect reports and report any issues to management.
• Deliver and collect goods from RDCs in line with company instructions.
• Adhere to all legal requirements and best practice standards.
• Communicate any delays or issues to the Transport Office promptly.
• Follow all Health & Safety policies at all times.
• Report any incidents or hazards immediately.
• Ensure compliance with EU driving hours and Working Time regulations.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach with customers.
