Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is recruiting a Tanker Driver in Nottingham for a full-time, permanent role. You will operate a 7.5 to 3.5 tonne vehicle to service portable toilets and welfare units, refilling water and emptying waste across customer sites.

You’ll work mainly alone with solid team support in Nottingham. Key duties include vehicle checks, safe operation, and driving a Class 2 vacuum tanker.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 2 Category C licence, Driver CPC, and Digi card.
• Experience driving automatic and split gearbox vehicles.
• Confidence with manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong time management and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Empty waste and refill water in portable toilets, welfare units, and septic tanks.
• Drive a Class 2 vacuum tanker and support with smaller service vehicles when required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure equipment is safe, secure, and ready to use.
• Keep the team informed of progress, delays, or issues during the day.
• Follow all road laws, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.
• Keep your vehicle clean, stocked, and ready for the next shift.
• Attend training, toolbox talks, and driving assessments as needed.
• Support the wider team with additional duties when required.

We are recruiting for a Tanker, 7.5 tonne and 3.5 tonne Driver on a full time and permanent basis in Nottingham.

The Role

As a Tanker, 7.5 tonne and 3.5 tonne Driver, you will travel to customer sites to service portable toilets, welfare units, and septic tanks. The role involves emptying waste tanks, refilling water units, completing vehicle checks, and keeping the branch updated throughout the day. You will mainly work independently, with full support from the Nottingham team whenever you need it.

What We're Looking For

• A valid Class 2 Category C licence, Driver CPC, and Digi card.
• Experience driving automatic and split gearbox vehicles.
• Confidence with manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• A good understanding of road safety and driving regulations.
• A strong work ethic, excellent time management, and clear communication skills.
• Previous experience in toilet hire or welfare hire would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
