Job summary

Veolia is hiring for an HGV Class 2 Driver located in Croydon. This full-time position involves driving to planned and ad-hoc collection locations, lifting bags and bins, and managing jobs using a tablet.

The successful candidate will hold a valid Cat C (Class 2) licence, an up-to-date driver CPC, and a Digi/tachograph card. A competitive pay rate is offered alongside benefits such as 25 days annual leave, ongoing training, and employee financial wellness support.

HGV Class 2 Driver

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday‑Friday, AM Shift (05:00‑14:00)
Pay: Competitive

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned and ad‑hoc collection locations, collecting bags and bins
• Using a tablet to receive and manage jobs
• Lifting or pulling items of all weights and sizes
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per the driver operator handbook
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation, including security and load weight limits
• Ensuring the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
• Bank holiday working required

Essential qualifications

• Cat C (Class 2) licence up to date
• Up to date driver CPC
• Digi / tachograph card

Desirable qualifications

• RCV/Waste industry experience
• Clean driving licence
