Overview

Job Title: Car Compound Driver
Location: Portbury Dock, BS20
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (paid weekly)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

Gi Group is currently recruiting for Car Compound Drivers to join a busy and well-established automotive logistics site located at Portbury Dock. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a genuine interest in vehicles and enjoy working in a practical, outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive and relocate vehicles within the compound and to other on-site locations
• Carry out basic pre and post movement checks to ensure vehicle condition
• Park vehicles accurately and efficiently in line with site procedures
• Work collaboratively with other team members in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain a professional and safety-conscious approach at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold a full UK manual driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points
• Comfortable driving a variety of vehicles, including both manual and automatic transmissions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and a responsible attitude towards vehicle handling
• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
