Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a dedicated Driver for healthcare facilities in the West Midlands region on a part-time basis (40 hours per week, 5 days over 7). The role includes catering support, site maintenance, and helping the facilities team, with a police vetting requirement.

The ideal candidate will have prior similar experience, be adaptable, an excellent communicator, and able to work under pressure while maintaining reliable timekeeping and holding a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Kitchen and catering service work, till work.
• Driving multiple vehicle types including catering vans.
• Delivering packs and hospitality to police, moving water around sites.
• Ensuring the exterior of the site is clean and well maintained.
• Assisting the facilities team with contractor sign-in/sign-out and site rules.
• Opening and/or closing the building as required.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Driver to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a part time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week. It is a 5 over 7 role with variable shifts.

Job is in ESS Government services at West Midlands Police and HS2

Please note there is a police vetting requirement and without passing this you are unable to work with us

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Kitchen and catering service work, till work
• Driving multiple types of vehicle to include Catering Jiffy vans (essentially a cafe on wheels)
• Delivering pack up and hospitality to the police, moving large quantities of water around sites.
• Responsible for ensuring the exterior of the site is in a clean, tidy and reasonable state of repair, inclusive of general external maintenance tasks.
• Assisting the facilities team with the control of contractor's process, inclusive of ensuring contractors are signed in correctly, and signed out, and that everyone is adhering to site policies and rules
• Responsible for opening and/or closing the building where required
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
