The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated, creative, and motivated Year 2 teacher to join our team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT) who is eager to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, nurturing pupil development, and working closely with other staff to ensure the success and well-being of your class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivated.
  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing feedback and support to ensure all children achieve their best.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative approach to learning and development.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and respect.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Work as part of a team to develop and improve school practices, ensuring the best outcomes for pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
  • A good understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for working with young children and supporting their learning journey.
  • High expectations of yourself and your students, with a focus on raising standards and achievement.
