Who will you be working with?

A Division of Wabtec UK Ltd, Northampton-based firm Bearward Engineering manufactures radiators for the power industry and is currently recruiting for a Drawing and Document Controller.

Role: Drawing and Document Controller

Salary: £Competitive

Location: Hybrid (2 Days Home/3 Days Onsite), Northampton, (NN4 8HJ)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 am to 16:30 pm, and Friday 08:00 am to 15:30 pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

How will you make a difference?

As a drawing and document checker in an engineering department, you significantly enhance efficiency and quality by reducing errors, ensuring compliance with industry standards, improving communication among team members, and maintaining stringent quality control. Your role streamlines workflows, prevents document discrepancies and helps meet project deadlines effectively, ultimately ensuring that engineering projects are executed smoothly and accurately.

What will your typical day look like?

• Checking drawings, bills of materials, and ensuring timely completion of New Product Requests and design changes.
• Using the design guidelines, you will be responsible for checking manufacturing and assembly drawings for accuracy.

What do we want to know about you?

• Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of BOM creation.
• Understanding of engineering drawings.
• Experience in AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, NX CAD packages, or similar.
