Job summary

A leading staffing agency is seeking a Draughtsperson (CAD) in Stoke-on-Trent to produce manufacturing drawings and manage project requirements. The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD 2D experience and is methodical and reliable. This permanent position offers a salary of £27,000 to £30,000, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with AutoCAD 2D is essential.
• Familiarity with drawing packages is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.

Responsibilities

• Process orders from sales confirmation.
• Produce general arrangement drawings for approval.
• Create manufacturing drawings and cutting lists.

Pay: £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience

Location: Stoke-on-Trent ST6

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm

Job description: A great opportunity to work for one of Staffordshire major manufacturer and market leaders in Steele Manufacturing, provider of Industrial and commercial steel security fencing solutions. The chosen candidate will be responsible for.

• Processing orders from sales confirmation

• Production of general arrangement drawings for approval

• Creation of manufacturing drawings, cutting lists, etc. for the fabrication of various designs for steel fencing and gate systems

• Liaising with Project Managers to comprehensively understand the project requirements

• Managing projects to best suit deadlines and customer requirements

• Build you own quotes using our in-house systems and AutoCAD 2.0

• Working to set targets

Skills:

• Experience of AutoCAD 2d is essential

• Using AutoCAD 2D software in a steel fabrication environment would be desirable

• Experience in other drawing packages will be considered

• Good attention to detail and accuracy are essential qualities

• Must be methodical and reliable

• Communication skills must be excellent to liaise with customers

• IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Access databases)
