Job summary

Hunting Energy Services is seeking a skilled designer to produce machining, fabrication and assembly drawings, along with associated documentation. You will update existing drawings, create schematics, and contribute to technical manuals while ensuring design control. Travel may be required.

You will work on equipment from skid-based hydraulic units to pressure controls and downhole tools, delivering tasks to deadlines with attention to detail and a methodical approach.

Qualifications

• HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software; Autodesk preferred.
• Drafting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience with DNV/API standards is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities

• Revise designs and follow change management procedures.
• Maintain drawing/documentation control in line with company and industry processes.
• Produce specification sheets for components and assemblies.
• Create and maintain technical manuals.
• Provide cover and support to the department as needed.

Job description

The Job holder is responsible for producing machining/fabrication and assembly drawings along with associated documents.

They assist with a variety of duties including but not limited to – updating existing drawings/files, producing schematic/layouts, contributing to technical manuals and compiling design control documentation.

The job holder is expected to work on a range of equipment ranging from fabricated skid based hydraulic units / transport frames to pressure control / downhole tools.

The job holder is expected to complete their assigned tasks/responsibilities accurately within a planned timescale to meet specific deadlines.

Attention to detail and a systematic approach to design file and drawing control are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Revising designs, following change management procedures
• Drawing and documentation control in line with Hunting and industry body process
• Producing specification sheets
• Creating technical manuals
• Providing cover and support to the department as and when needed

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• HNC (or similar) in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software – ideally Autodesk
• Drafting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Full Driving Licence
• Experience of DNV / API standards
• Knowledge and experience of an ERP system, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365
