Job summary

A leading engineering and project services company in the North East is seeking a highly skilled 3D Inventor Design Draughtsperson to join the Mechanical Engineering team. The role involves contributing to the design and development of innovative solutions and collaborating with engineers on project work.

You will work both with a design team and independently, applying strong problem‑solving and attention to detail to deliver accurate drawings and specifications in line with industry standards.

Our client is a leading engineering and project services company who provide bespoke solutions across a number of marine related sectors. Due to recent projects won they now require a Draughtsperson to join their busy North East office.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3D Inventor Design Draughtsperson to join the Mechanical Engineering team. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers as part of a project team, contributing to the design and development of innovative solutions. You will also be expected to work independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, as required.
• Work independently to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.

The Person

• Proven experience as a Design Draughtsperson in the Mechanical Engineering sector.
• Proficiency in Autodesk CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Experience in the use of Teamcenter PLM would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Prior knowledge of Subsea technologies and/or cable lay equipment is highly beneficial
