Are you a passionate and dynamic Drama Teacher seeking a rewarding role in a secondary school setting? A vibrant secondary school in Lambeth is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Drama Teacher to join their creative and supportive Performing Arts department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Drama Teacher to inspire students and contribute to a thriving school community. The successful Drama Teacher will play a key role in developing students' performance skills and appreciation for the arts.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a genuine passion for Drama and a commitment to providing high-quality education. The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent).
  • Experienced in teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 (A-Level or BTEC) is desirable but not essential.
  • Passionate about Drama and theatre, and able to inspire students of all abilities.
  • An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
  • Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of performance.
  • A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community, including extra-curricular activities.
  • Dedicated to their own professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons across the relevant Key Stages.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback, both written and verbal.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes creativity and self-expression.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Performing Arts department and across the school.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of extra-curricular Drama activities, such as school productions and clubs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
  • Ensure the safety of all pupils.
