What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a genuine passion for Drama and a commitment to providing high-quality education. The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent).
• Experienced in teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 (A-Level Drama and Theatre Studies, BTEC Performing Arts, or similar) is desirable but not essential.
• Passionate about Drama and theatre, and able to inspire students of all abilities.
• An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
• Committed to raising student achievement and fostering confidence, creativity, and communication skills.
• A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community, including extra-curricular Drama activities.
• Dedicated to their own professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons across the relevant Key Stages.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback, both written and through practical performance work.
• Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Performing Arts department and across the school.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of extra-curricular Drama activities, such as school productions, drama clubs, and workshops.
• Direct and/or support school performances.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Ensure health and safety.
