Job summary

Felixstowe School in Felixstowe, England, is seeking a vibrant, engaging and creative Teacher of Drama to join from January 2027. This permanent post can suit an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher who will receive strong support in a welcoming team and have the chance to shape Performing Arts beyond the classroom.

Drama is a central part of our thriving Performing Arts Faculty, with a growing music provision and expanding dance opportunities.

Qualifications

• Passion for drama and performance education.
• Ability to engage and inspire a diverse pupil body.
• Demonstrates commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
• Willingness to participate in school productions and enrichment.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging and ambitious Drama lessons across age and ability.
• Inspire students to develop confidence, creativity and a love of performance.
• Contribute to productions, performances and enrichment; support the school show.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Music, Dance and the wider Performing Arts Faculty.
• Create opportunities for students who love performing and those who are new to it.
• Receive planned support and, if relevant, participate in an ECT programme to grow as a teacher.
