Job Description:

A well-regarded Catholic School in Richmond is seeking a skilled Drama (Technical Theatre) Teacher to join our Performing Arts department. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to explore the technical aspects of theatre production.

About the Role:

  1. Deliver engaging and challenging Drama (Technical Theatre) lessons to Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level.
  2. Develop and implement lesson plans covering lighting, sound, stage management, and set design.
  3. Facilitate student-led technical theatre projects and productions.
  4. Assess student progress through practical assessments and written evaluations.
  5. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the technical theatre curriculum.
  6. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as technical theatre clubs and productions.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Technical Theatre or a related field.
  2. Extensive experience teaching technical theatre at the secondary level, preferably in a faith school setting.
  3. Proficiency in technical theatre equipment and software.
  4. Excellent communication and practical skills.
  5. Competitive salary (MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting).
