Location: Swinton, S64
Pay Rate: GBP155 GBP220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join a welcoming school in Swinton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to engage students in the world of theatre, performance, and self-expression, while developing valuable communication and teamwork skills.

Role Overview:
As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, introducing students to dramatic techniques, script work, improvisation, and stagecraft. Your role will focus on cultivating creativity, building self-esteem, and encouraging collaboration through both practical and theoretical drama education.

Responsibilities as a Drama Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students to explore drama through performance, analysis, and creative expression.
  • Prepare students for practical assessments, showcases, and school productions.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment where all learners feel valued.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, including drama clubs, rehearsals, and events.
  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support development.

Requirements for the Drama Teacher role:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Drama in a UK school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for performing arts and empowering young people through creativity.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps in the last 10 years.
