The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Drama Teacher to join a dynamic Performing Arts department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about making Drama accessible and engaging for all students. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a creative approach to teaching, and a genuine desire to inspire the next generation of performers and theatre-makers. You will be covering a period of absence, ensuring a smooth continuation of learning for our students. This role is perfect for a flexible and adaptable teacher looking to gain experience in a new environment.

Your Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective drama lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel confident and motivated to learn.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless transition and continuity of learning.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in departmental meetings and possibly assisting with school productions.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance as required.
What We\'re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A Bachelor\'s degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching drama at the secondary school level.
  • Exceptional subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
