Job description

We are seeking an inspiring and creative Drama Teacher to join a passionate team. You will deliver engaging and high-quality drama lessons that foster creativity, confidence, and communication skills in students. Duties as a Drama Teacher:

1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3–5.
2. Develop pupils’ performance skills, creativity, and appreciation of theatre.
3. Support students in practical and theoretical work, including preparation for GCSE/A-Level or equivalent qualifications.
4. Organise and direct school performances, showcases, and enrichment activities.
5. Contribute to whole-school arts and cultural initiatives.
6. Assess, track, and report on student progress.
7. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
8. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
9. Specialise in Drama or Performing Arts.
10. Possess a passion for drama and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
11. Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.
12. Experience in directing productions and collaborating on school events is desirable.
13. Show a commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
