Job summary

Clarence Recruitment is partnering with a well-established secondary school in Lincoln to recruit an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Drama Teacher to join their team from the start of the new academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a thriving Performing Arts department, delivering inspiring Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting.
  • Passionate about delivering engaging and creative lessons.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be committed to achieving high standards of teaching and learning for students of all abilities.
  • Experience or keen interest in leading school productions, performances, and extracurricular Drama activities.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to raising student achievement and supporting individual progress.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver inspiring Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 for suitable candidates.
  • Contribute to and support the Performing Arts department and school productions.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and student engagement in class.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and assess student progress.

Job Title: Drama Teacher | Location: Lincoln | Salary: £175-£255 (MPS/UPS, dependent on experience) | Job Type: Long-term cover | Start Date: New Term Start

The Successful Candidate Will
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting.
  • Be passionate about delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire students.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be committed to achieving high standards of teaching and learning for students of all abilities.
  • Have experience, or a keen interest, in leading school productions, performances, and extracurricular Drama activities.
  • Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Show a strong commitment to raising student achievement and supporting individual progress.
