Are you a passionate and creative Drama Teacher seeking a new opportunity from January 2026?

We are currently working with an inclusive secondary school in Redbridge that is looking for a talented teacher to join its Performing Arts department as the stand-alone Drama specialist, covering a maternity leave from January 2026 until the end of the academic teacher July 2026.

The Role

As the specialist drama teacher within the school, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Drama lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5 (including A-level).
  • Take responsibility for leading GCSE and A-level classes, supporting students with coursework, practical assessments, and examination preparation.
  • Contribute to the wider Performing Arts department, working collaboratively to maintain high standards.
  • Inspire and challenge pupils through creative, high-quality teaching that nurtures confidence and performance skills.
  • Support the school’s Performing Arts department in preparing and running whole-school events, showcases, and productions.
Person Specification
  • Specialism in Drama with strong subject knowledge.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching A-level Drama alongside KS3 and KS4.
  • A proactive, engaging, and collaborative approach to teaching.
