We are looking for motivated and practical individuals to join our team as Monitor Technicians. This is a fantastic opportunity to start or develop your career in a technical field, working with cutting-edge monitoring equipment and helping to improve wastewater network performance. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and working outdoors, this could be the perfect role for you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain smart flow and level monitors within the wastewater network.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with monitoring equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine suitable installation locations, considering signal strength and equipment alignment.
  • Lift manhole covers, access confined spaces, perform manual tasks and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ensure equipment is fully functional before leaving the site and that the work area is left clean and tidy.
  • Provide feedback on installation procedures and equipment improvements.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and promptly using electronic systems.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, wearing the correct PPE at all times and reporting any incidents or near misses.
  • Travel to various sites within the region, with occasional overnight stays (supported by a generous working away allowance).

What you will need to bring:

  • Full UK Driving License - Essential for travelling to different sites.
  • Technical mindset - Comfortable using computers and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a technical field - Full training provided.
  • Hands-on experience - Background in manual, hands on work preferred.
  • Adaptability - Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and in confined spaces.
  • Experience in drainage or wastewater networks - Desirable but not essential.
  • Relevant certifications - Confined Spaces, CSCS Card, Street works, or CITB Ticket - Desirable
