Kier Group Transportation team in Northamptonshire is seeking a Drainage Operative to help maintain a safe and operational highway drainage system. You will join a dedicated team delivering drainage maintenance and emergency response support.

The role is full-time (45 hours/week) with a salary of £38,937.60, based in Northamptonshire. You will work outdoors in all weather and use gully trucks and jetting equipment to keep drains clear.

Qualifications

• Experience operating high-pressure jetting equipment or similar vehicles.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team and the public, and follow safety procedures.
• Hold a UK Driving Licence and a class 2 HGV licence.

Responsabilités

• Drive and operate a gully truck to carry out drainage maintenance.
• Clean and maintain highway drainage systems including gully pots and channels.
• Use high-pressure jetting equipment to clear blockages and ensure free-flowing drainage.
• Record completed works using handheld devices.
• Support emergency response operations during adverse weather or flooding events.
