Job summary

Proactive Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of our Glasgow-based client, seeks a Drainage Operative to join on a temp-to-perm basis. The role involves drainage maintenance, high-pressure jetting, CCTV inspections and minor civils, with accurate paperwork and strict safety compliance.

Experience in drainage is preferred; a Full UK driving licence is essential (max 6 points, no DR/CD). CSCS card is preferred. Training is available as you transfer into other areas after twelve weeks with the agency.

• Full UK driving licence essential (no more than 6 points; no DR or CD convictions).
• CSCS card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out drainage maintenance, unblocking, and repair works.

Job description

Our client based in Glasgow is currently seeking a Drainage Operative to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. You will initially work through the agency for 12 weeks, with the opportunity to transfer to a full-time position thereafter.

This is a hands‑on, physical role involving a range of drainage and minor civil works. Duties will include excavations, high-pressure water jetting, patching and lining repairs, and operating CCTV drainage equipment to identify and diagnose faults. You will also be responsible for accurately completing job paperwork and reports.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience in all areas, however if you have experience with minor civils and high pressure jetting, once you are employed training will be given in the other areas.
