Auger in Watford is seeking a Drainage Investigation Engineer to join our team and cover Watford and surrounding areas. You will be trained to perform subsidence investigations alongside a range of drainage investigations.

The total package is worth £36,412 - £42,122 without overtime; door-to-door pay includes drive time and there is no on-call rota. We provide a comprehensive range of drainage services across the UK, with a focus on training, progression, and employee welfare.

Competenze

• Experience in drainage or subsidence investigations preferred.
• Experience using CCTV/CAT scanner not required but desirable.
• Ability to carry out trial holes and collect soil samples.
• DBS check and driving licence required.

We're looking for a Drainage Investigation Engineer to join the Auger Team, covering Watford and surrounding area. As part of the role, you'll be trained to carry out subsidence investigations alongside a range of drainage investigations. Our total package is worth £36,412 - £42,122 without overtime. We pay door-to-door, including drive time, and there is no on-call rota.

Financials

• Starting Salary - £32,381.75 - £37,793.70 dependent on experience
• Annual Bonus - approx £2000 - £2500
• 5.5% Pension Contribution - approx £1781 -£2,078.65

Overtime

• Optional weekend OT at 1.5x rate eg. 10 days would top up the package to £38,280 -£44,302.76

Working Hours

• 42.5hrs per week, Mon-Fri only &NOon-call work

The Role

• Independently investigate drainage systems and recommend appropriate repairs
• Learn and carry out subsidence investigations, including identifying potential causes and gathering relevant information and evidence
• Logically establish ownership and the cause of the customer's issue
• Confidently talk our customer through the works, giving them peace of mind
• Complete trial holes to locate foundations and collect soil & root samples
• Communicate proactively with our Field Operations Team at HQ
• Work effectively with other engineers in our team as required

Preferred Experience

• Use of CCTV camera (recording and labeling)
• Use of CAT scanner in order to identify buried services and to trace/locate the drainage system by use of sonde
• Reinstatement of various different domestic surface types including; paving slabs, block paving, cold lay tarmac, concrete, etc.
• Ability to complete small repairs - Replacement of gullies, restbends, small sections of shallow pipework
• Prior experience of completing trial holes
