Job summary

HomeServe UK is seeking a Drainage Engineer in Crewe to diagnose and resolve drainage issues in customers’ homes. You’ll work in customers’ homes, clearing blockages, investigating problems, and carrying out domestic drainage repairs with independence and care.

This field-based role offers a 40-hour week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays) with a £33,220–£37,810 salary plus £1,500 guaranteed bonus in year one and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting) ticket.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
• A positive, proactive approach to your work.

Join HomeServe as a Drainage Engineer and play a vital role in keeping our customers’ homes running smoothly.

• Location: Crewe
• Salary: £33,220 - £37,810 (depending on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
• Hours: You will average 40 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)

What you’ll be doing

As a Drainage Engineer, you’ll be working in customer’s homes diagnosing and resolving drainage issues.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Clearing blockages using high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) equipment
• Investigating drainage problems and identifying root causes
• Carrying out repairs to domestic drainage systems
• Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
• Representing HomeServe in customers’ homes with professionalism and care

This is a field-based role where no two days are the same, giving you variety and autonomy in your work.

Training and support

We’ll give you everything you need to succeed from day one:

• Week 1: Classroom-based induction Monday to Friday at our Walsall Head Office
• Week 2: On-the-job training alongside an experienced HomeServe Drainage Engineer

(Where required, we will pay for your accommodation and meal allowance for your induction).
