The successful candidate will have following experience
  • Previous experience in a drainage or similar engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of drainage systems and environmental compliance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • CSCS card and relevant tickets (advantageous but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence required
Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair drainage systems (above and below ground).
  • Use CCTV, sonar, and flow monitoring equipment to assess system condition.
  • Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment and vacuum tankers to clear blockages.
  • Design and review drainage systems using CAD and computer modelling tools.
  • Advise on effective drainage systems for new builds and infrastructure projects.
  • Work closely with clients, local authorities, engineers, and project managers.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental protection laws and health & safety protocols.
  • Support local councils, developers, and commercial clients with tailored drainage schemes.
  • Carry out pipework repairs and replace damaged sections as required.
