Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking a Drainage Assistant in Cullompton for permanent, full-time work. You will manage drainage survey gear, support manual handling, and help with site access, while upholding safety standards and PPE usage.

The role requires flexibility for early, evening, and night shifts, strong organizational skills, and a proactive safety mindset. A CSCS card and UK driving licence are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for setting up, maintaining, cleaning and storing drainage survey equipment and cameras
• Support in manual handling activities to access drainage networks and moving required equipment to locations for surveys
• Assist in setting out basic Signing, Lighting and Guarding
• Operate as part of a confined space entry team in various roles of entry
• Undertake weekly asset checks on all team allocated equipment
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and vehicle
• Carry out detailed tool control to ensure equipment is not lost or left behind
• Preparation and organisation of necessary equipment to undertake each task
• Apply PUWER/LOLER weekly inspections
• Utilising work-based App for reporting Hazards/observations, positive safety interventions and improvement suggestions
• Ensure correct PPE and task specific PPE is correctly utilised
