Glanville Environmental in Cullompton is seeking a Drainage Assistant to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining drainage survey equipment, assisting with surveys, and supporting safety and site operations throughout multiple shifts.

We value reliable, physically fit individuals with a strong safety mindset and the ability to work early, evening, or night shifts as required.

Responsabilidades

• Set up, maintain, and store drainage survey equipment and cameras.
• Assist in accessing drainage networks and moving equipment for surveys.
• Help with signing, lighting and guarding tasks.
• Participate in confined space entry roles as required.
• Conduct weekly asset checks on equipment and maintain clean work areas.

Job Description

Drainage Assistant
Cullompton
Permanent, full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for setting up, maintaining, cleaning and storing a wide range of drainage survey equipment and cameras
• Support in manual handling activities to access drainage networks and moving required equipment to locations for surveys
• Assist in setting out basic Signing, Lighting and Guarding
• Operate as part of a confined space entry team in various roles of entry
• Undertake weekly asset checks on all team allocated equipment
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and vehicle
• Carry out detailed tool control to ensure equipment is not lost or left behind
• Preparation and organisation of necessary equipment to undertake each task
• Apply PUWER/LOLER weekly inspections
• Utilising work-based App for reporting of Hazards/observations, positive safety interventions and improvement suggestions
• Ensure correct PPE and task specific PPE is correctly utilised

Qualifications

• Good communication

• Physically fit for outdoor work in all weather, lifting/moving loads within safe limits.
• Able to work early, evening and night shift working hours
• Organisational skills
• Be able to exercise good judgment when required & have problem-solving abilities.
• Actively promote a safe working culture by ‘Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe’ and leading by example.
• Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness.
• Valid UK driving licence
• CSCS Card
• Awareness of H&S

• SLG (Unit 2)
• First Aid at Work
• SHEA Water Hygiene
• PTS – (Rail Access)
• Experience in Asset Surveys & Site Surveying
• Experience drainage surveys and mapping
