Job summary

Lanes Group Ltd is recruiting a Drainage Asset Surveyor / CAD Technician to support drainage asset validation projects across the London Underground network. The role combines CAD drawing production, asset records, and LU 447 Forms with occasional site visits to verify drainage asset data.

The ideal candidate has CAD or surveying experience and aims to develop skills in drainage and asset management, with safety compliance and team collaboration at the core.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAD, surveying, drainage, or asset validation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and asset records.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with MicroStation and ProjectWise is desirable.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to undertake occasional site work across LU network.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update drainage asset drawings and supporting documentation.
• Complete and quality-check LU 447 Asset Validation Forms.
• Review survey data, CCTV reports, drawings, and asset records.
• Identify and record discrepancies between site assets and existing records.
• Capture and verify drainage asset information during occasional site surveys.
• Maintain accurate asset records and support asset validation activities.
• Assist with CAD, data processing, and drawing production tasks.
• Work independently or as part of a project team while complying with all safety requirements.
