Department: Fuels Strategy & Capital Planning

We are seeking a Downstream Strategist to join the Fuels Strategy & Capital Planning Department. This department is responsible for developing the Fuels Business Unit (BU) strategy, managing capital, initiating portfolio synergies and optimization, and conducting financial activities.

The incumbent will be a subject matter expert in Downstream strategy and scenario planning, acting as the BU Advisor for related issues. Responsibilities include conducting research on long-term scenarios impacting the BU’s competitive advantage, and preparing reports for strategic and corporate committees.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in Downstream strategy and scenario planning.
• Prepare research, studies, and market analysis for the Downstream Strategy Council and other committees.
• Collaborate with strategists to articulate the overall Fuels BU strategy and develop outlook scenarios.
• Contribute to the development of long-term strategic and resource allocation plans for the Fuels BU.
• Establish relationships with think tanks and industry experts to stay updated on developments in technology, geopolitics, regulations, and industry trends that could impact Saudi Aramco's downstream performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
• 15 years of experience in refining, chemicals, trading, and retail marketing, with at least 5 years in strategy formulation, scenario planning, or strategic planning.

EU or British nationals will be highly considered for this position.
