Job Description:

Our client is a global insurance company seeking two Risk Engineers to join their team due to recent retirements. The role involves assessing and managing risks within the downstream petrochemical sector.

Responsibilities:
  • Attend risk engineering surveys and provide risk improvement recommendations to help clients manage risks effectively.
  • Develop a deep understanding of new and existing technologies such as carbon capture, renewable hydrogen production, and geothermal projects, to support the engineering team.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • MEng in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
  • Experience in oil and gas exploration, refinery, petrochemical, or chemical manufacturing operations, or in risk consulting roles.
  • Problem-solving skills, forward-thinking, and agility in risk management.
  • Ability to work independently, curiosity, motivation, strong relationship skills, and teamwork.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
