Job Description:

Our client is a global insurance company that recently had 2 retirees, and therefore we are looking for 2 Risk Engineers to start as soon as possible.

Requirements

• MEng in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical / Process Engineering.
• Experience in oil and gas exploration and production, refinery, petrochemical, or chemical manufacturing operations, or in risk consulting roles.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management.
• Ability to work independently, curiosity, motivation, good relationship skills, and teamwork.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk engineering surveys and provide risk improvement recommendations.
• Stay updated on new technologies like carbon capture, renewable hydrogen, and geothermal energy, expanding beyond traditional oil and gas activities.

Position is remote if based in the UK, with travel required.
