Job Description:

Our client is a global insurance company that recently had 2 retirees, and therefore we are looking for 2 risk engineers to start as soon as possible.

Requirements

• MEng in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical / Process Engineering.
• Experience in oil and gas exploration and production, refinery, petrochemical, or chemical manufacturing operations, process safety, reliability, maintenance, inspection, or equivalent risk consulting experience.
• Forward-thinking, agile, with problem-solving skills in risk management.
• Autonomous, curious, motivated self-starter with good relationship skills, and a team player.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend risk engineering surveys and deliver risk improvement recommendations to help clients manage risk effectively.
• Continuously learn about new and existing technologies, including recent developments in carbon capture, renewable hydrogen, and geothermal projects, providing opportunities to expand beyond traditional oil and gas activities.

Position is remote if based in the UK, with travel required.
