Job description

Dot Net Developer - Stoke

Our client is seeking a Lead Application Developer with at least 3 to 5 years of proven experience in developing applications using Microsoft Dot Net technology.

The successful candidate will mentor new developers and contribute to the evolution of their skills.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for a niche sector, incorporating features such as Membership Management, Event Management, and Product/Publication Sales.
  2. Modifying and enhancing the system to meet specific client requirements.
  3. Managing core CRM elements built with Dot Net, including modules with sales ledger features like invoicing, payments, refunds, rejections, and credits.
  4. Interrogating, analyzing, and reporting on demographic and financial data.
  5. Developing and maintaining applications using VB.Net, ASP.Net, SQL, MVC, C#, Angular, HTML/CSS, and Ajax.
  6. Understanding customer usage to develop new features and improve existing ones.
  7. Assisting with implementations, upgrades, and support issues.
  8. Responding to customer support tickets requiring technical expertise.
  9. Working within a team following OO structured processes.

Essential Skills:

  • VB.Net, ASP.Net Web Forms, JavaScript frameworks
  • ORM Modelling, Oracle, MySQL
  • Experience with source control systems
  • C# (preferred if comfortable working mainly in Visual Basic)
  • WCF, WebApi
