Job summary

The Best Connection Group Ltd are recruiting a Door Shop Operative to join their Redditch team. You will manufacture from plan our bespoke door system used in modular buildings, working in a small team to deliver quality components.

The role requires MIG welding and sheet metal work experience; CNC press brake is beneficial. Hours are 08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, with starting pay of £14.50 per hour rising to £15.00 after 13 weeks. Benefits include 28 days leave and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in 2–20mm mild steel preferred.
• Sheet metal working experience preferred.
• GCSEs in Maths and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welding (MIG), bending, cutting, pan folding and press braking of steel sections.
• Door assembly, including the furniture and locking mechanisms.
• Quality inspection and remedial work at each stage of the process.
• Working as part of a small team and supporting the business when needed.
• Health & Safety of others and themselves
