Job summary

Insightful Recruitment is working with a progressive domiciliary eye care provider delivering high-quality eye examinations predominantly in care homes across Central Scotland. As a GOC-registered Optometrist you will perform thorough eye examinations, manage refractions, identify pathology and refer when needed, with strong support from an Optical Assistant to ensure excellent patient care.

Clinics run 9:30–16:30, with travel before and after.

Qualifications

• GOC registration as Optometrist.
• Experience in domiciliary or care-home eye care.
• Ability to communicate with patients with dementia or complex needs.
• Proficient with paperless records and technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough eye examinations in care-home environments.
• Complete refractions.
• Identify vision changes and recommend appropriate eyewear.
• Refer pathologies when needed.
• Support patients with anxiety or communication difficulties.
• Maintain accurate records in a paperless system.
• Collaborate with Optical Assistant and clinical team.
