Job summary

Specsavers Norge is seeking a Domiciliary Optometrist based in Ilkeston to provide high-quality eye care directly in patients' homes across Derby and surrounding areas. You will drive Specsavers’ services to the customers’ doorsteps, ensuring they receive the necessary eye examinations and vision care.

The ideal candidate will be registered with the General Optical Council and possess a valid UK driving licence. A strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

As a domiciliary optometrist with Specsavers, you will drive our services to customers' doorsteps, providing eye care and supporting clients with basic tasks they cannot perform without assistance. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality eye care to patients in their homes across Derby and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide eye examinations and vision care in patient homes.
• Prescribe and dispense spectacles, contact lenses and related products.
• Manage appointment schedules and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate patients on eye health and proper use of vision correction aids.
• Work independently while collaborating with the Specsavers team.

Qualifications

• Registered as a member of the General Optical Council with up‑to‑date registration.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and passion for improving patients’ quality of life.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously and in a team.
