Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a domiciliary optometrist to take eye care on the road, visiting patients in their own homes across your territory and delivering professional eye exams with compassionate care.

You'll work with a friendly team, receive a company car or car allowance, a generous benefits package, and flexible full- or part-time options. A General Optical Council registration and a full driving licence are essential to apply.

Qualifications

  • GOC registration is required to practice as an optometrist.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence is essential for domiciliary visits.
  • Strong customer-facing skills and professional bedside manner are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct eye exams and provide optical care at patients' homes.
  • Support patients with basic tasks to improve daily living where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and coordinate with the Specsavers team for follow-up care.

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a domiciliary optometrist at Specsavers, you can do just that. You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

You’ll be provided with a company car to bring your care directly to people’s homes.
