Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a domiciliary optometrist to take services to patients who cannot visit stores, driving to homes to provide eye care and support with basic tasks.

Covering central belt and west coast areas such as Glasgow, Helensburgh, Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Clydebank, and Oban on occasion, you’ll bring care directly to people in their communities. You will have a company car and flexible hours, with full and part-time roles available.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the General Optical Council.
• Full driving license required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patients' homes to provide eye care.
• Support basic daily tasks for patients as needed.

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a domiciliary optometrist at Specsavers, you can do just that. You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

Our business

Based on the central belt and west coast, covering areas such as Glasgow, Helensburgh, Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Clydebank, and some further afield areas such as Oban on occasion, you’ll cover a given territory, providing care to patients in their own homes.

Our cars

You’ll be provided with a company car to bring your care directly to people’s homes.
