What is Domiciliary Care?

Home care, or domiciliary care, provides vital support to individuals in their own homes, assisting with daily tasks, personal care, and more complex needs. This service helps clients maintain their independence and well-being in a familiar setting.

Our approach is fully personalised, with each client’s unique needs and preferences at the heart of our care. From the very beginning, we take the time to understand their routines, choices, and specific requirements, ensuring they receive truly tailored support.

Domiciliary Care Duties

The role of a domiciliary carer is diverse, ranging from offering companionship and assisting with household tasks to delivering specialised care tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

As the position requires travel to various clients, a valid driving licence is necessary. Unlike many companies, we recognise your commitment by reimbursing both travel time and mileage. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing complex care
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Carrying out household cleaning
  • Supporting hydration
  • Preparing meals
  • Reminding clients about medication
  • Offering mobility support
  • Running errands
  • Providing companionship
  • Offering emergency assistance
  • Helping with dressing
  • Promoting social interaction
Our Training Programme

We are dedicated to equipping you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in your role. Our training is specifically designed to support your career aspirations, ensuring you feel confident and prepared for a fulfilling career in care. From day one, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of CareYourWay's values, culture, and essential training, including both mandatory and optional courses.

Our support extends beyond training. We regularly review your goals to create a clear development path, offering continuous opportunities for career progression. At CareYourWay, we value your contributions and actively encourage your ideas, often implementing employee-led initiatives to enhance the quality of care we provide and your experience as part of our team.
