Job summary

Inchwater Home Care in Dover is seeking a part-time Domiciliary Care Worker to visit elderly clients in their homes between 4pm and 9pm. You will provide companionship and personal care, helping clients stay independent and safe.

No prior professional care experience is required; we offer a comprehensive training programme and ongoing support. We provide a mileage allowance, paid travel and time between visits, and a competitive hourly rate.

Job description

We are looking for a Domiciliary Care Worker to join our team of care workers in and around Dover. We have been awarded top in Kent for quality home care and we're looking for somebody who can work during the hours of 4pm to 9pm.

We visit our elderly clients in their homes and offer companionship, personal care and anything else they need to live a happy and independent life. Daily activities might include medication, personal care, cleaning, cooking, shopping, offering choices, social inclusion and social support.

Many people have care experience, without them realising some examples are:- supporting the elderly, providing regular support/help to buying the shopping for a neighbour who is struggling to go out.

We don't need you to have previous professional care experience as we offer comprehensive training built from our own mix of experience in the Health and Social Care sector.

If you are experienced and interested in joining Inchwater Home Care, then you might find us a little different. We offer you the time to provide excellent support and offer continuity of care with your own specific clients. We minimise travelling and wait times and we offer a very competitive mileage allowance. We want you to enable the best possible care for our clients.

What we offer a Domiciliary Care Worker

• Paid Travel and wait time
• Double-time rates on Bank holidays
• 45p per mile fuel allowance
• £14.00 per hour weekday, £15.50 per hour weekends after successful 3-month probation)
• Your own clients to work with, so you can build a relationship to be able to support them.
• Minimum of 1hr visits, giving you time to provide quality care needs without rushing.

We only ask a couple of things from any Domiciliary Care Worker Applicant:

• You need your own transport.
• You are passionate to work in a team that focusses on wellbeing.

We are currently looking for part time staff to work across Dover villages and surrounding areas for our inspiring clients. Should you be successful, you will be matched to clients that click with you and your availability and you will be working between the hours of 4pm until 9pm.

More often than not, we are approached by family members in need of some extra help with their relative, so we are looking for you, to care for our clients, as you would care for your own family or friends.

No previous experience is required as full training is provided, all we ask is that you have a passion to care for others!

We support every Domiciliary Care Worker

Our role is to support you, so that you can work comfortably knowing you have all the training, knowledge and backup you need. You can call us 24hrs a day!

We pay you mileage from home, pay you during the visit and also pay you mileage and time to get to your next client.
