About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Domiciliary Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Reading. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity. Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver person-centred care and support to clients in their homes, tailored to their individual needs.
  2. Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
  3. Provide support with mobility, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
  4. Administer medication according to care plans and policies.
  5. Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  6. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  7. Carry out household tasks, including light cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  8. Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.

What We're Looking For
  1. Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or domiciliary care role is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
  2. Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  3. Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
  4. Transport: A valid UK driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
  5. Attributes: Patience, reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
