Domiciliary Care Assistant

Location: Richmond Village, Bridge Meadow Way, Grange Park NN4 5EB

Pay Rate: £12.60ph

Contract: Bank

Shift: Various Bank Shifts Available

As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you’ll help residents to truly get the most out of life, and in return, we’ll support you to develop your career.

We’re currently looking for Assistants at all levels to provide domiciliary, residential, nursing, and dementia care as required. You will receive a thorough induction, ongoing training, access to apprenticeships, and resources via our online portal and LinkedIn Learning platform.

You’ll help us make health happen by:
  • Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, and continence care within their homes in the Village, championing dignity and independence.
  • Supporting at mealtimes by serving meals and assisting with mobility, including walking, transferring, or using a hoist.
  • Promoting mental and physical activity through hobbies, interests, or activities within the village.
  • Responding to emergency calls from the care alert system.
  • Collaborating with the Domiciliary Care Manager and external professionals like GPs, Chiropodists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists.
  • Maintaining accurate records of care, activities, and health changes.
Key Skills / Qualifications:

You should have experience working in care or dementia settings, or hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). Above all, you should be passionate about caring for others, respecting choices, and prioritizing safety and welfare. Being a good listener, positive, confident in communication, and discreet are essential. You should lead by example, support the team, and deliver care with dignity and compassion, aiming to bring a smile to our residents’ faces every day.
