Job summary

Bluebird Care Calderdale and Bradford is seeking caring Care Assistants to support customers in their own homes in Halifax and Brighouse. No prior care experience is required; full training will be provided to help you start making a real difference.

You must have a full UK driving licence and access to your own car, along with the right to work in the UK. Shifts are flexible, and induction plus ongoing training are provided to help you succeed.

Responsibilities

• Help with washing, dressing and personal care.
• Support customers with medication.

• Help customers maintain independence and follow care plans.
• Keep accurate records and get to know the people you support.

Duties

• Helping with washing, dressing and other personal care
• Supporting customers with medication
• Preparing meals and helping with food and nutrition
• Helping with light housework, laundry and keeping the home comfortable
• Providing companionship and a friendly face
• Supporting customers to maintain their independence
• Following individual care plans and keeping accurate records
• Getting to know the people you support and noticing when something doesnt seem quite right

The ideal candidate

You dont need to have worked as a Care Assistant before, as full training will be provided.

You Will Need

• To be reliable and comfortable working independently

Previous experience in care is welcome, but it isnt essential.
