Job summary

Advance Charity, a women-only organisation in the UK, is seeking a Social Care IDVA to support women and girls affected by domestic abuse. The role is based in Westminster and Hammersmith offices with a mix of 3–4 days in the office and 1–2 days remote, offering a 35-hour week and a salary of £28,000–£35,000 depending on experience.

The post requires safeguarding knowledge, risk management, and strong advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children.
• Experience as a domestic violence advocate with risk management and safety planning.
• Ability to work with complex cases and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Raise awareness and respond to those experiencing domestic violence in collaboration with Social Workers.
• Provide high-quality telephone or face-to-face crisis intervention, information, advocacy and support.
• Support service users with risk management, housing, health and welfare rights, and children's legislation.
