A leading women's charitable organization in Leeds is seeking a Domestic Violence and Abuse Support Worker to provide holistic support and case management for victims of abuse. The ideal candidate will engage in survivor-led practices, working within a team to ensure safety and support for individuals in need. Leeds Women’s Aid (LWA) is the largest women’s charitable organisation in Leeds and provides services for victims of domestic violence and abuse, honour-based violence, forced marriage, trafficking, stalking and harassment and is the lead agency for two consortia, Leeds Domestic Violence Service and Women’s Lives Leeds.
LWA are looking for a Domestic Violence Support worker to join our Refuge Support Team. You will be providing holistic support to individuals and families who come to reside in refuge as a result escaping violence and abuse. You will work as part of a team providing a safe confidential helpline and support services that are survivor-led and trauma-informed working within our refuge; with dispersed safe houses across Leeds.
